It refuses to remember my CA cert. As a result, I went ahead and put my radius server's cert's CA cert into /etc/ssl/certs and created the hash symlink. Unfortunately, it still doesn't connect, so the problem is apparently something else. Using the ifup/ifdown setup continues to work perfectly for me in openSUSE 11.2 as it did in 11.1. I tried the GNOME NetworkManager applet and was actually able to get it to connect (it actually used the CA cert that I selected), but it couldn't reconnect after that. I've given up on NetworkManager. It's beyond useless for my network configuration. Fortunately, it appears that Wicd is option, and it appears to work perfectly for me. So I deleted almost all traces of NetworkManager from my system and am using Wicd with the ifup/ifdown config now. Wicd actually seems pretty sweet, though it would be nicer if it had a system tray icon. These are 1. Switching all installed packages to those from a particular repository (this is not the same as selecting a repository and then choosing to upgrade all installed packages shown in the filter for solver related reasons; this feature is in response to a bug actually http://duncan.mac-vicar.com/blog/archives/619 ). 2. Showing orphaned packages is also done in yast-qt-pkg now. This is a much voted for feature, but was marked as done only recently. ( https://features.opensuse.org/300758 ) In my opinion, a feature can be marked done only if it works both on the qt and gtk interfaces. It would be really unfair if the KDE side of yast does these really cool things the GNOME side doesn't. Please try to have these included for 11.2. I love the gtk interface, and use GNOME; I do not see why I should be forced to use the qt version to enjoy some yast related coolness.
