The reason why zen updater says "zmd not running" is because zmd is actually
refreshing services, but zen updater shows an incorrect message. This was fixed
as part of the bug 214285 in sle10 sp2. Can you please let us know if you still
see this issue?

In the first output, Start_Stop_Count and Power_Cycle_Count are 973 and 974.
In the second, both are incremented by three, which means that the drive lost
power three times inbetween. These are taken from the same boot, right? This
is most likely caused by inadequate power supply. Please try another PSU.
I'm resolving as invalid for now. Please feel free to re-open if something new
comes up. Thanks.

gnome-settings-daemon-bnc381139-handle-hotplug-and-unsuspend.diff
Patch for gnome-settings-daemon. This makes it re-probe and autoconfigure the
RANDR outputs.
The opening comment in this bug mentions that we should handle the case where
you unsuspend and have a *different* monitor. This patch doesn't handle that
case yet; outputs which remain connected and activated will retain their
current modeline. We may have to steal the logic from
gnome_rr_config_apply_from_filename() to see when a monitor changes.
