It appears that the kernel-default (which was always the correct one for the i386, i586, i686 kernels) was renamed to kernel-legacy. The kernel-pae was renamed to kernel-default. If someone in this situation and updates his installed kernel-default-2.6.29 to the newer kernel-default-2.6.30 kernel, then after a reboot the kernel will report that his system is missing the PAE functionality. This could cause that people are no longer able to boot their systems. It would be much better if the packages are configured in such a way that installed kernel-default is being replaced with the kernel-legacy, etc. This would avoid situations where the system becomes unbootable. Also an announcement in opensuse-factory would be good to make people aware. In my case, I have a laptop with an internal display that works perfectly fine (power save recovery included) If booted int the port replicator the external display works fine as well (power save included) However, when I connect the laptop to the port replicator after putting it in power save outside of the port replicator and attempt to power it up to the external display, I get no video (on any of the TTYs) This is the issue I was hoping to get fixed.
