When using the scrollwheel to scroll down, the behavior is erratic, as it decides to scroll up instead (almost like, scroll down a few times, then up once, then scroll down again). I believe it happens when the process is slow, dmsetup is already called with the password, but the disk not mounted yet (fsck?), GNOME sees the device, and tries to automount it (under /media), before the script sees it. Nautilus opens a window with the device. Then the script finalizes and mounts it another time - I only want the script, not gnome to mount it. When things go corretly (after several failed attempts) nautilus does not show the window automatically and there is no corresponding device icon on the desktop. First fails to connect than hangs then fails and so on. This behaviur is reproduced with a Nokia 6630, a Motorola Razor V3 and a Palm Thingsten T. This apply repeatably under certain conditions. ie not in every situations, but in one situation it happen all the time (and I have found MANY cases). ps shows: hub 12138 4.9 63.9 1702672 482660 pts/4 D+ 01:25 0:16 | \_ gdb /gnote 1702672 is the VSS 482660 is the RSS As a comparison, I only have 768MB or RAM on this machine. It should be noted that the executable is built with -O0 to deal properly with C++ inlining. Also, I'm on 32-bits Intel.
