Including user homes! When I do cvs checkout in $HOME/test, it says something like: cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/rawdata/myuser/test: No such file or directory In this case rawdata is an automounted nfs folder. The strange part is that it picks a random share. i.e. sometimes it says instead: cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/local/myuser/test: No such file or directory or cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/data1/myuser/test: No such file or directory Ofcause it cannot find the directories because the shall not be there. Sometimes it works as it should!!! Not that random means that it chooses the same directory not to find for some time. Then after say 10 minutes it is another one and after 10 more it works normally. I cannot find any correlation with the number of automounted nfs shares and when it is working. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. cd $HOME/test 2. cvs co somemodule Actual Results: cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/RANDOMDIR/myuser/test: No such file or directory Expected Results: sucessfull checkout. When clicking the shutdown button in the `computer' menu it takes a couple of minutes for the selection window (shutdown/reboot) to appear and the options for suspend and hybernate are missing (they used to be there but after the latest automatic update they were gone). Also starting the settings manager for power mangagement causes the application window to freeze. It could also be a problem with ACPI or an upstream GNOME power management problem because I encountered a similar problem (clicking the power button causes a freeze) on a (different and completely unrelated) Ubuntu machine, also after a recent update. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on computer -> shutdown 2.Wait 3. Actual Results: Takes minutes to load shutdown screen and hybernate/suspend options are missing. In evolution, it is just a string. Thus, when following Evolution instructions, making any entries into that field in the gui results in a "type mismatch" error. Essentially, if I understand this correctly, the evolution schema for ignore_hosts proxy entry conflicts with the gconf schema. MANUALLY changing the .gconf/apps/evolution/shell/network %gconf file into a list of strings does not help or prevent this error. Note that Evolution appears to be mishandling external (proxied) URL requests. I haven't had images in evolution mail for ages, no matter what the settings. My belief is that it may be due to this schema conflict. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.start Evolution Preferences 2.Choose network proxy settings 3.set a manual proxy, and enter "localhost, 127.0.0.1, <another>" in "Ignore Hosts" entry. Actual Results: Error message pops up about "Type Mismatch: expected string, got list" or words to that effect. Going back to "System settings" doesn't help, and evolution will then fail the login to the Exchange server. The only fix is to delete "~/.gconf/apps/evolution/shell/network*" %gconf file. Expected Results: I would expect no errors, and proper proxy (and ignore_host) handling by evolution I believe this may be related to bug #476442 which reports improper URL handling by Evolution, related to proxies. That bug says the url handling fix is in 2.24.5 of evolution, but the openSuSE Evolution:STABLE repo still only has 2.24.4. For some of us, Evolution is USELESS until this is fixed. This is on a brand new install of 11.2.m1, with nothing for the banshee beagled backend to index yet. An Index Optimizer is stuck in a Pending state behind it. Stopping beagle and starting it with the "--backend -banshee" option to disable the Banshee back-end causes beagle to run to a no-tasks state at the end of 10 minutes. The standard Beagle logs are silent on this issue, sadly. Will try and see if the debug logs are useful. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install 11.2.m1 with Gnome. 2. Login, start shell prompt 3. Run 'beagle-status' and monitor output 4. After 10 minutes post-login, beagle will start running. 5. Once it is mostly done the Banshee back end will be in a delayed state (See below) The output of 'beagle-status' after most index tasks are done. Downgrading back to 2.6.27.19 returned the performance back to original value. The decreased performance with 2.6.27.21 could be observed in other 3d software as well, not just glxgears. xorg.conf file was not changed during the upgrade or downgrade. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.With the given graphics chipset, the performance difference between the above mentioned kernels should be completely reproducible (was for me). Actual Results: 3d performance decreased. That's ok, package php5 provides "php5". But package eGroupware-core-1.6.001-11.1.noarch.rpm requires "/usr/bin/php". That causes dependency errors because php5 doesn't provides this. (2) Packages eGroupware-filemanager-1.6.001-11.1.noarch.rpm, eGroupware-gallery-1.6.001-11.1.noarch.rpm and eGroupware-mydms-1.6.001-11.1.noarch.rpm require "egw-pear 1.6.001".
