When trying to enable tftp service, the firewall port is not enabled properly
(using YasT2 tftp setup tool). No error message is displayed, but when entering
configuration dialog again, firewall port is disabled again. Also connection
from outside not possible.
Using firewall configuration dialoge for opening UDP port 69 is a workaround
for getting tftp service up and runnign propperly.
YasT2 logs added as attachment.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Use YasT2 tftp configruation dialog for setting up tftp service (make sure
that o'open firewall' is enabled.
2.After clicking OK, firewall port is still closed.
3.
Actual Results:
Firewall port is not opened propperly.
Expected Results:
Firewall port should be opened by tftp configuration tool.

Summary: can not write to dvd-ram with udf: UDF-fs Partition
marked readonly; forcing readonly mount
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.1
Version: Final
Platform: i586
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Kernel
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening(a)forge.provo.novell.com
ReportedBy: mail(a)Franosch.org
QAContact: qa(a)suse.de
Found By: ---
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.5; Linux) KHTML/3.5.10
(like Gecko) SUSE
After mounting a DVD-RAM with an UDF file system on it with
mount -t udf -o rw,noatime,async /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom
the command 'mount' says
...
/dev/sr0 on /media/cdrom type udf (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,noatime)
but
touch /media/cdrom/a
fails with
touch: cannot touch `/media/cdrom/a': Read-only file system
In /var/log/messages appears:
Apr 20 16:37:30 cell1 kernel: UDF-fs: Partition marked readonly; forcing
readonly mount
Apr 20 16:37:30 cell1 kernel: UDF-fs INFO UDF: Mounting volume 'LinuxUDF',
timestamp 2006/03/20 10:07 (1000)
This is the case with DVD-RAMs that have worked with Suse 10.2. Also,
dvd-ram-control says
dvd-ram-control -rdwr /dev/cdrom
The disc is unprotected already.
So, although the disc appears to be unprotected, and 'mount' says it is mounted
rw, it is in fact mounted read only. Either 'mount' should say it is mounted
'ro' or you should be able to write to it. Neither is the case, which is a bug.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put DVD RAM with UDF filesystem in drive.
2. mount -t udf -o rw,noatime,async /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom
3. touch /media/cdrom/a
Actual Results:
The 'touch' command fails, but should not.
Expected Results:
A file /media/cdrom/a should be written.
Re-making the file system on the DVD with
mkudffs --media-type=dvdram /dev/sr0
fixes the DVD-RAM and 'touch /media/cdrom/a' succeeds. So, apparently, the bug
only occurs with certain DVD-RAMs or UDF file systems.

BTW, it would help if yelp would print the name of the .directory resp.
desktop file.
What's the name of the element yelp complains about?
; DocPath: ; Icon=document2
This was meant as a comment (I once was told the ";" sign is a comment start
letter--according to
http://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/latest/ar01s02.html#com…
only "#" seems to be allowed).
I'll clone this report to check the opensuse-manual related desktop files.

The icon on the main menu button doesn't resize when you change the size of
your panel. The upshot of this is that for panel sizes under 27 pixels, the
whole icon is not shown and it's not clear what it is supposed to be. For
panel sizes much larger than that (I don't know if anyone does that but they
can), it's tiny in comparison to the panel and its button.
The former is more significant, as more people start using Netbooks (and we
promise Netbook support in 11.2), small panels are important as they release
more desktop space for actual working to take place.

I need a project that contains the SUN JDK and JRE RPMs to build against.
I tried to create a new buildservice project by following the wiki steps for
"Setup Initial Distributions".
Got all the way to where I copied the sun jre-6u13-linux-i586.rpm and
jdk-6u13-linux-i586.rpm into the /srv/obs/build/PROJECT/standard/i586/:full
directory and restarted OBS.
Builds that BuildRequire: jdk would error out with a getbinaries error (couldnt
find jdk package)
Renamed Sun RPMs to be standard naming scheme and restarted OBS and everything
worked as expected.
Seems to be a problem where OBS expects the rpm filename to follow normal
standards and blows up if it doesnt.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. add sun JDK rpm with original sun rpm filename to a buildservice project
2. restart buildservice and build something that buildrequire: jdk
3. note lack of build
