I would like to create a project for the Prosody XMPP server on your build
service. The web page is found at http://prosody.im. The developer has the
ability to create a 32-bit .deb of his source, but no RPMs, DEBs or other
packages for 32-bit and other architectures. I am working with him to make sure
we can reach the largest target audience.

Summary: Network outside the LAN becomes unreachable when two

When two network interfaces are present in the computer, after some hours it's
impossible to access a network outside the LAN, and cannot be accedded from
Internet.
So, from Internet, I have to connect to a computer in the same LAN of the
computer with two network interfaces, and connect to it using SSH. I login as
root and restart the network service. After that, the computer is reachable
again from Internet.
I have configured both network interfaces with static IP addresses.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure static IP addresses in two network interfaces in the same LAN and
the same computer. (One IP address must be visible from Internet)
2. Wait some hours, or maybe one day.
3. Try to connect to the Internet, or from the Internet to the host.
Actual Results:
There is not connection to Internet
Expected Results:
The connection should not be interrupted
Also with opensuse 11.0
With computers with suse 10.2 that also have 2 network interfaces with static
addresses and one of them visible from Internet, I do not have the same
problem.
To "solve" the problem, I deleted one of the network interfaces from the
configuration in the Yast Network module. So, I have to use it without one of
the network interfaces.

With the development of cfg80211 and its replacement of the old wireless
extension implementation, the command "iwconfig wlanX nick blah-blah" is no
longer implemented; however the following scripts still use it:
/etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/ifdown-wireless
/etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/ifup-wireless
/etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/ifstatus-wireless
When the /sbin/ifup wlan0 command is given, it returns the following
command 'iwconfig wlan0 nick <host-name>' returned
Error for wireless request "Set Nickname" (8B1C) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.
interface wlan0 is not up
The fix is to remove the line "nick $WIRELESS_NICK" from the 3 scripts
indicated above.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure the use of if-up for network devices.
2. Issue an ifup wlan0 command.

Recently I used the openSuSE X11 package repository to upgrade to the latest
X11
stuff. However, it didn't work with my graphics card (due to severe bugs).
I removed the X11 package repository and tried to downgrade. While this works
manually on a per-package basis, it doesn't work if I display all installed
packages, then selecting `update all packages in list if newer version is
available'.
This looks like a bug.

Since today the packages in the "Subversion" repository get build against the
subversion version from their respective OSS repository instead of the newer
one in the subversion repository.
The packages in question are: rsvndump, RapidSVN, python-pysvn, fsvs,
svnmailer, submin (everything that requires subversion[-devel])
"useforbuild" is enabled for the subversion package and as far as I can tell
nothing was changed to either of those packages.
Conspicuous is that the last subversion build was at 2009-03-12 13:54:24 and
all depending packages got rebuild today morning (2009-03-31 7-8) which must be
the time since when they use the wrong subversion version.

YaST automatic backup always reports errors. If the same profile is used at
manual backup everything works ok. But in automatic mode backup pocedure has
errors (backup files are not completely backuped as supposed to be).
It says: "Storing date failed"!
The same problem occures on two different computers.

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.4pre)
Gecko/2008101311 Firefox/3.0.4pre (Swiftfox)
After an update to sysvinit 2.86-186.16.1-i58 my system stopped to shutdown in
a clean state. It stopped with a message like:
/etc/init.d/rc in line 317 killproc.... $link status
(Sorry I don't know it exactly)
Then after a reboot the filesystem was not clean. There had so many
transactions to be rolled back that I think its stops in runlevel 3.
This problem only appears on my main desktop computer. I have a netbook which
does not show the problem.
After downgrading to sysvinit 2.86-186.7-i586 the problem is gone.
(The downgrade also downgraded aaa_base to 11.1-10007.14.1-i586 so I don't know
exactly by which rpm the error was produced)
