The only way out is to improperly shut down the computer. It works with the nvidia driver, but I don't want to use this one. My laptop is a T61 thinkpad with nvidia quadro 140m. I blacklisted the intel_agp module, but there were no improvment. Overall, 11 critical bugs were fixed in Firefox 3.5.3 out of a total of 16 patches. Firefox 3.0.14 received 10 patches, with 5 fixes marked critical. Several of the bugs might have enabled exploits that allowed malware writers to run unauthorised code on users' machines, including a bug in Firefox's GIF parser and bugs in several individual third party modules - liboggz, libvorbis and liboggplay - all of which were added in Firefox 3.5. Four critical stability issues were also fixed across both versions of Firefox, which were marked as critical and upon which Mozzarella commented: "Some of these crashes showed evidence of memory corruption under certain circumstances and we presume that with enough effort at least some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code." I like kmail and i'm using it every day for i like to use default applications of my kde gui instead of adding others _which may solve some problems but has the inconvenient that it will reduce my disk storage_ . So, i'm keeping with Kmail but it is too bad that it is very slow compared to thunderbird for example_ and i noticed many people are using other mail clients that default ones_. I therefore began looking for ways to quicken Kmail. Default spam tool is spam assassin which in my experience really slows down Kmail.(i oftentimes tought of getting rid of kmail because of this) But ... When removing spam assassin and adding bogofilter i now have a decent Kmail : after opening Kmail it just receives my mail in a few seconds and bogofilter does its job too correctly filtering spam in the given directories. My suggestion is to replace defaul spam tool (spam assassin) with bogofilter which is lighter and works much quicker. It gives back a convenient experience using Kmail ;=) code: # zypper ref && zypper rm spamassassin && zypper in bogofilter then add bogolfilter in kmail Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Add spam assassin spam tool in kmail using given wizards 2. Receive your mails 3. Kmail is slow too slow. Compare this time with bogofilter instead of spam assassin. Actual Results: Kmail is really slow in receiving mails Expected Results: A quick reception while getting new mails.
