The result is that, even if you choose detailed view, sometimes the columns are spaced off the right side of the dialog, or the dialog fills up most of the screen because it is so large. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Save in Firefox. (Save page, link, image, etc.) 2. Resize view icon zoom to small. 3. After saving is done, repeat step 1. Actual Results: The icons ("zoom") will have increased to "medium", but actually they're quite large. The view type is saved. Expected Results: The save dialog should keep the zoom preferences so that the next time it is called, it will use the same settings as before. This happens in the default theme with or without the openSUSE Firefox Extensions enabled. This is due to a multitude of bugs in libproxy 0.3.0: - The config parser fails to parse anything than the GLOBAL section (everything inside any [section] is ignored. - libproxy 0.3.0 has a hardcoded path to kioslaverc, being ~/.kde/share/config/kioslaverc, whereas openSUSE uses ~/.kde4. Libproxy 0.3.1 addresses those two issues (plus one other .net binding bases, which can be ignored. openSUSE 11.2 does not contain a package with libproxy # bindings). On a default KDE install from the DVD, Rosegarden has no icon in the Applications menu. 2. Clicking on the "?" icon does not start the application. 3. From the command line, the path does not appear to be set: znmeb@AlgoCompSynth:~/Projects/AlgoCompSynth> rosegarden If 'rosegarden' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the package that contains it, like this: cnf rosegarden znmeb@AlgoCompSynth:~/Projects/AlgoCompSynth> cnf rosegarden Program 'rosegarden' is present in package 'rosegarden4', which is installed on your system. Absolute path to 'rosegarden' is '/opt/kde3/bin/rosegarden'. Please check your $PATH variable to see whether it contains the mentioned path. 4. When I start rosegarden with /opt/kde3/bin/rosegarden, an error dialog box "Couldn't start the sequencer" appears. 5. When I dismiss that message, I get the following warnings: Helper programs not found .. The following features will not be available: * Export and import of Rosegarden Project files * Notation previews through LilyPond .. you should install the following additional programs: * The Rosegarden Project Packager helper script * The Rosegarden LilyPondView helper script These do not appear to be available in the standard 11.2 repos, although I did manage to find them in the Packman repo. 6. Rosegarden seems to require the "jack" daemon to be running. Sometimes I get a message to that effect. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install 11.2 M8 with default KDE desktop 2. Install rosegarden4 3. Start rosegarden Actual Results: It took some hunting, but I did manage to get everything working. When I get a chance, I'll document what I did for the wiki. However, if the package is already installed 'make' tries to create new certificates and fails for whatever reason. 'bootstrap' then re-creates the ca therefore breaking everything. IMO - bootstrap should not be run on update at least. Installed from openSUSE-KDE4-LiveCD-Build0308-i686.iso (M8) on an Acer D250 netbook (confirmed also on a desktop with an ASUS M3N-H/HDMI motherboard). The iso's md5sum was good. The installation is missing all the files in /usr/share/doc/packages/cups (the directories are there, but are empty). The string '/usr/share/doc/packages/cups' was not found in the YaST-> Software-> Software Management-> Search in 'File list' function. Replacing the /usr/share/doc/packages/cups directory contents with the files from an 11.1 installation fixed the problem. Selecting Update of the 'cups' package in YaST (from oss repository) also installed the files (the 11.1 files were deleted beforehand). It would seem that the files are included in the 'cups' package in the oss repository, but not in the openSUSE-kde-11.2-livecd-kde-read-only.i686-2.8.0 image on the M8 iso. The attached image shows the screen rendering.
