I notice the following code if (!(cc= fopen("control","r"))) ohshite(_("could not open the `control' component")); but I fail to notice a matching call to fclose. This looks like a resource leak to me. Suggest add call to fclose near the end of the function. I would like to note the somewhat exotic name of the error handling routine. Some more sensitive members of the community may prefer a more sober name. However when we already select packages and do update, it should show progress instead. But currently if this option is enabled instead of showing progress, it shows available packages with empty list. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure kupdateapplet to use zypp backend and enable "Always show detailed view". 2. Check for updates. 3. Select few packages and start update. 4. Click kupdateapplet icon. Actual Results: Available package window opens with empty list.
