The block of code in SuSEconfig.postfix which processes the values indiscriminately performs a upper to lower translation on all of these values which breaks the various parameters. I attached some debugging info that I hope to be helpful. I am at your disposal if further testing were needed. The first suspend (to disk or ram) is working very well. But the second, I have got some problems ! The LED will stay on in both cases. Then I am obliged to make a "reset" In the case of "reset to ram", the boot starts with a fsck. In the case of reset to disk, the boot works well. My desktop directly. My computer : AMD x2 4200 + 2Go + Asus A8N-E + NVidia GEForce 7600 GT with 177.82 driver I attached the whole hardware information, which "Hardware Information" module in YaST shows. I see http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:Suspend_Failure but I don't find anything. I attached the files /var/log/pm-suspend.log and /var/run/pm-suspend for the first suspend ! I say this only because the Software update applet on the taskbar continuously flashed through its appropriate icons. I finally killed packagekitd manually. I also found that /var/log/pk_backend_zypp was growing (apparently) unbounded. I am attaching that log to this bug report. The log seems to indicate some apparmor update.... This module is, unfortunately, needed to grant guest logins, or set passwords. As the samba alone, is not enough to arrange logins into linux shares. Now, the password requester pops up, but as there is no possibility to set a password or username, there is no possibility to get into the shares.
