For root items, this does not work; they are always displayed open. See also bug #464144. (is there a chance that you give me the proper idea where to find that config??) wlan is default switched of within kde networkmanager <-problem. Its easier to switch off via nm. if needed, in my case no possibility to turn it on. (boot-option??) kde/compiz, something weird with framebuffer, between kde-start(splash) and dimming into the desktop for few seconds a lost framebuffer appears (with random pix in it) same when shutting down. Not a big problem but not a good PR, actually feared some of my customers... Buffer-Features for ALSA not adjustable via kde/yast - sound problems, crippled start/stop melody - vlc seems to work ok though... Fingerprint-Reader not accessable not with yast-module also. no USB-features nor USB-drives etc.pp for Virtual Box / missing usb-proxy? webcam weird, got some very noisy output from LUVCview, no other app seems to work so far, webcam is enabled by default/boot - better enable wlan ;) x64 'feels' remarkable less performant than the 32bit version. Today's procedure was to update from download.opensuse.org/factory everything except kernel with Smart, then do zypper ref; zypper dup to catch the latest kernel. When I click on them, OpenOffice tries to open them which it obviously cannot do. One example is at http://download.microsoft.com/download/c/b/b/cbb8bc58-07b9-46bb-86ba-d12bb0… While downloading, Firefox correctly recognizes the file and suggests opening it with wine. When inserting the first letter of the password, the whole kdm input box is filled with the black point, which hides the password. After that no further keyboard input is possible. The mouse continues to work fine, it modifies the focus etc. When I switch to the console with CTRL-ALT-F1 and switch back to X11 with ALT-F7 the keyboard works fully again. (I still have to click on "login" to "cancel" the filled-up password entry box with a failed login. After that the keyboard works perfectly fine. I suspect this is a kernel bug, as the keyboard also doesn't work during the selection of boot kernels (which fortunately selects the standard kernel). This I'm filing this for kernel and not for KDE. The machine uses a straight-forward Logitech USB keyboard. I'm attaching dmesg output. If it does not, try http://puzzle.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gimp-print/gutenprint-5.0.0.ta… or choose a different mirror" If I klick on the link mentioned in above notice before the popup window that would show up automatically shows up a 2nd download window will open.
