Nor do I see any reports about the driver being proprietary. So I don't really know if I missed a driver or not. Please help. I tried also Opensuse 10.3 i386 with same results. Mandriva 2008 i386 installs and runs fine, so I HW-related defect should be excluded. The machine is up since 23 hours. It seems that the start menu will need more and more time to open. Yesterday evening it needed about 3-4 seconds, now I can count to 12. It's also a delay visible during in the interaction with the start menu items. After a re-boot the reaction time was "normal" (below 1 sec.). It is not perfect because there is a small delay but acceptable. Perhaps this behavior is based on the hardware. It's a 4 years old Intel prototype machine, but with standard graphics card. I did not found a bug describing a similar experience.
