With scim/skim ok in all other K apps, Kbabel does not allow skim to input Chinese chars in its msgstr field. With Eng keyboard on, everything's good. However, with a Chinese IM on, it seems that every time I press a key, an IMEnd signal is sent. For instance, with pinyin on, I press "wo" in order to form a char query, it strangely runs into this way(from shell): sending IMStart with 0 chars to 0x9fdce0 sending IMCompose to 0x9fdce0 with 1 chars, cpos=0, sellen=1, text=我 sending IMCompose to 0x9fdce0 with 1 chars, cpos=1, sellen=0, text=我 sending IMEnd with 0 chars to 0x9fdce0, text= sending IMStart with 0 chars to 0x9fdce0 sending IMCompose to 0x9fdce0 with 1 chars, cpos=0, sellen=1, text=哦 sending IMCompose to 0x9fdce0 with 1 chars, cpos=1, sellen=0, text=哦 sending IMEnd with 0 chars to 0x9fdce0, text= And there will be no char to be display in Kbabel. The simple module still works, but then, easy configuration is not possible. Symtom is that a number of scim-helper-manager and scim-launcher processes sit around, and wait for a futex, which is never released. Killing the scim-launcher and scim-helper-manager processes cures the problem for the currently running applications, but newly started applications also need manual killing of the scim-launcher processes. The Original openSUSE 10.3 installation and all the previous 10.x versions ran perfectly fine, so does winxp 64 bit. To be honest I had the same issue with ubuntu ( [Bug 22336] ) and therefore switched to your product. My laptop is the notorious Acer Aspire 1522 WLMi, with AMD Athlon K8 3000+ processor and Nvidia geforce go5700 graphics card. I am sorry I haven't reported this before, as I had just a several crashes every now and then, but with 11.0 I ran into much more trouble. I presume there are some background processes which use much more CPU power? So today I just had facebook on FF on was on skype on KDE3 and it shut down just in 10 minutes. Yesterday it crashed when I had digikam on, and on the other occasion I just barely started gnome. Now it makes it unusable for me therefore it is major bug. My CPU policy is set on demand. "watch acpi -V" shows a massive hike in temperatures, which go uncontrolled up to 80C and there it goes. The setup was the only place where I used to have this problem before, went smoothly this time. Launching any yast AA module from cmdline, this msg is printed to stderr: Name "swig_runtime_data::type_pointer3" used only once: possible typo at /usr/lib/perl5/5.10.0/i586-linux-thread-multi/DynaLoader.pm line 226 (#1) (W once) Typographical errors often show up as unique variable names. If you had a good reason for having a unique name, then just mention it again somehow to suppress the message. The our declaration is provided for this purpose. NOTE: This warning detects symbols that have been used only once so $c, @c, %c, *c, &c, sub c{}, c(), and c (the filehandle or format) are considered the same; if a program uses $c only once but also uses any of the others it will not trigger this warning. Depending on what I do with the module, it appears there once or more times. All AA yast modules seem to be affected - subdomain, SD_EditProfile (which also does not close correctly, but that is a different bug), LogProf etc. I suspect this to come from AA backend, since I haven't change anything perl-related on UI side.
