Apparently @sysconfig@ has not been replaced by some meta value. The same is true for the pop3d-ssl files. This @sysconfig@ is also present, several times, in the file mkimapdcert and mkpop3dcert in /usr/share/courier-imap/ In openSUSE 10.2 this @sysconfig@ has the value /usr/share There is still another problem in these 2 mk...cert files. /usr/local/sbin/openssl is used to run the openssl command. However this should have been /usr/bin/openssl At the beginning of /usr/share/mkimapdcert and mkpop3dcert there is a test for the availability of openssl. If it is not available, however in the current version the test is wrong, there is no error message, although the return code is 0. In my case, this resulted in cups not being able to function as its port 631 was stolen. The rogue line of code is in glibc-2.4/sunrpc/bindrsvprt.c, line 91: if (*tmp != '\0' || (port == ULONG_MAX && errno == ERANGE)) tmp is pointing to the first character after the port number. With the supplied blacklist, this is a tab character, resulting in the line being rejected. As far as I can see, this line serves no useful purpose and is an overkill for validation, and It should be removed. Those files are checked, everything is working. It would be much better for me that instead of copying option by option to KNM, I would just load such file and KNM would set everything for me. Right now, if this parameter is used, then any kernel parameters added at the Open Firmware prompt are discarded. One can edit parameters later during the boot process, but it is not really convenient.
