When changing the Appearance -> Height for icon text Appearance -> Width for icon text settings in Konqueror's configuration dialog, nothing seems to happen. There seems to be a built-in setting that never changes. Additionally, when the text is too long, the icon occupies more space for some reason. Used openSuSE10.2 and openSuSE10.3 in 64bit. Because 1000Mbit mode cannot be set to Half-Duplex, and AutoNegotiations stays on, the 1000Mbit connection does not work. The problem seems to be related to the auto-negotiation usage, which can be switched off by setting the speed and duplex type, but not for 1000 MBit! I saw anywhere in the net a note (from Linux Torwald ?) about a problem with some Intel e1000-cards about problems when register polling is done and autonegotiation is on. System crash happens systematically with big real program running. My small data transfer test program has produced system crash occasionally. I feel it could be a network driver problem. for this network interface I have not found a driver source that I could compile, as was possible (and often necessary) for previous Intel 1000 network chips with previous SUSE versions. Attempting to drag a file out of ark and selecting "copy here" gives the error message "The file or folder /tmp/kde-$username/arkprvsZ1/foo.bar does not exist."
