Package octave does not force this dependency, but I think it should do this. Texinfo source is not really useful for most people. But afterwards when browing away from the PDF acroread is still using quite some CPU (around 40% here, but somehow perceived as it was much more by jumping mouse cursor and so on). Killing the acroread process with SIGTERM stops the CPU usage but doesn't kill the process completely. Only SIGKILL really stops it. (Not even closing Firefox ends the process).
