The message i got was "The connection was closed unexpectedly" (or similar), so i tried again. After a few tries, i looked in /var/log/messages and found, that May 29 21:02:38 stoetzler nm-openvpn[27217]: AUTH: Received AUTH_FAILED control message May 29 21:02:38 stoetzler nm-openvpn[27217]: SIGTERM[soft,auth-failure] received, process exiting I then had to kill the keyring daemon to be able to enter the password again. Cursor does not respond to mouse moves and the keyboard does not 'produce any regular characters', but Ctrl+Alt+F1 works. Switching into console, running Sax2 and accepting proposed configuration fixed the problem for me.
