Summary: Improper size for "New" Tango icon
Product: openSUSE 10.3
Version: Beta 2
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: OpenOffice.org
AssignedTo: eward(a)novell.com
ReportedBy: abockover(a)novell.com

Found By: ---
When OpenOffice uses the Tango icon theme, the icon for "New" in the toolbar is
stretched from 16x16 (guessing) to 24x24 (again, guessing) to fit the button.
There doesn't appear to be a native 24x24 version available.

Summary: smb4k UID problem - access denied
Product: openSUSE 10.2

OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2
Status: NEW
Severity: Major

smb4k worked well under 10.1. Upgraded to 10.2 & smb4k not working.
Uninstalled & resinstalled, still NF. Target machine suse 8.3, stable & not
changed.
smb4k on client machine is creating the share links using the target machine's
UIDs rather than the local machine's UID. Access is then denied for the user.
I can browse target if I suid to root, so the networking part is working fine.
A big difference seems to be that the change from 10.2 to 10.2 on the client
machine also required a change from using SMB to CIFS for the shares in smb4k
configuration.
This is, clearly, completely blocking use of samba shares on 10.2 for us.

If the vga-mode is changed from nothing to some resolution, or from one
resolution to another, mkinitrd has to be called in order to include the
correct splash-images.
For me mkinitrd only includes the 1280x102 one if I have set GRUB to that
resolution, hence if I had it on 1024x768 and change the resolution in GRUB,
the splash is not included in initrd.

Summary: kdesu does not car about /etc/sudoers

Not only sudo but also kdesu should take care about the /etc/sudoers file.
This will be especially useful when performing online updates via SuseUpdater.
An entry for "/sbin/yast2 online_update" should also relieve from typing the
root pwd when using the graphical frontend rather than the text interface. This
will of course also be possible if SuseUpdater tried a sudo before invoking
kdesu, which would however pose a specific and therefore less desirable
solution.
At the moment something seems to be completely messed with kdesu in
OpenSuse10.2, because it does not even accept correctly typed passwords like su
does!

Summary: racoon must be restarted after suspend

This bug is reproducible on each Laptop and Workstation that supports
suspend-to-disk. After waking up from the suspend state, I must restart racoon
if the VPN connection was still active.
I use:
$ nvpn -c suse
After resume, the VPN is not active any more. Entering "nvpn" brings:
,--
| Failed to connect to AdminSock(/var/run/racoon/racoon.sock)! 111
| VPNCLIENT-UI-4611:Failed to connect to the Gateway.
| Failed to connect to IKE. Restart IKE.bwalle@villariba:~
`--
So I have to restart racoon. There are no special error messages in
/var/log/messages. And, it should be reproducable on every system.

Summary: Gigaset ISDN driver not integrated in YaST
Product: openSUSE 10.2
Version: Final
Platform: All
OS/Version: SuSE Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Enhancement
Priority: P5 - None
Component: YaST2
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening(a)forge.provo.novell.com
ReportedBy: tilman(a)imap.cc
QAContact: jsrain(a)novell.com
Kernel 2.6.18 includes ISDN drivers for Siemens Gigaset SX255 family devices
connected via USB.
YaST does not list these devices or allow them to be configured in the "ISDN
devices" section.
The devices are usable anyway, but only if the user configures them manually,
either by following the instructions on
http://gigaset307x.sourceforge.net/README.driver-2617
or by installing and running the configuration script from the Gigaset Driver
package available on
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gigaset307x/
It would be desirable to integrate this in YaST, ideally even autodetecting the
device.
As one of the developers of these drivers I am willing to help with that
integration, but I lack the YaST knowledge for doing it all on my own.
Therefore, sorry, no patch ready for inclusion.
