There are four SATA related device IDs in SB700: 0x4390, SATA in IDE mode 0x4391, SATA in AHCI mode 0x4392, SATA in RAID mode with Promise non-Raid5 driver 0x4393, SATA in RAID mode with Promise Raid5 driver This is different from SB600, there is only one SATA Device ID in SB600, which is 0x4380. In the previous SATA patch to SB700(bug# 285044), we only add 0x4390. This patch provide the other three device IDs, otherwise Linux can NOT be installed when set SATA into "AHCI" mode in BIOS. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): All How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set "onchip SATA type" in BIOS into "AHCI" mode. 2. Install SLES10 Actual results: Fail to install this distribution Expected results: SLES10 should be installed on "AHCI" mode. Additional info: Could you please add this patch into SLES11 before it's release? The reasons for that has been a very large logfiles in the error case. I have reduced the logging once more so we save about 80% time. But I am not sure if this reflects your problem. We have a new option in zypper : --debug-solver Generates testcase for the solver. If the error still exists please reproduce the error with the newest libzypp (3.13.6) and zypper by using this new option. Appears plural problems, such as: " the sound does not work ", " automounting disks does not work", in syslog appears record: "... resmgr: rejected connection from uid 0/gid 10002: group name too long ". There is it because length of the name of group in resmgrd - 32 characters. Chars in languages that using unicode symbols (distinct from English) borrow 2 bytes, accordingly procedure strlen() resulting value is much more than real length of the name of group. P.S. sorry for my terrible english... P.S.S. below in Russian: При добавлении компьютера в домен и последующем логине. Появляются множественные проблемы, такие как: "не работает звук", "не работает автомонтирование дисков", в syslog появляется запись "...resmgr: rejected connection from uid 0/gid 10002: group name too long". Происходит это потому что длина названия группы в resmgrd(в svc.c) - 32 символа.A в языках использующих unicode символы(отличные от английских) занимают 2 байта, соответственно процедура strlen() получает значение больше реальной длины названия группы.
