Selecting some packages from Factory will cause zypper to not return, stays
permanently "working on" and window goes grey. Kill -9 the pids of yast2
sw_single, removing /var/run/zypp.pid and at times needing to bomb out the
window is the only way to return it to sanity, then YaST --> Installation
Source can be restarted.
It's not capable of resolving certain dependencies.

If you try and enable the option to have windows 'wobble' when moved in the
Desktop Effects Item within the Gnome Control Panel, the option won't work
(windows do NOT wobble). Note that other options (cube, rain, etc.) work
without problems, as far as I can tell. I am using the latest nVidia Legacy
Driver, along with the latest packages from FACTORY.

This bug incorrectly flagged as a duplicate of bug 275100. It persists right up
to 10.3 Alpha6plus on both x86_64 and a x86 fresh install done a few days ago.
Workaround is as detailed above. The dependencies never get resolved however
long it's left (8 hours+ in one case).

The gnome-panel installs a .desktop file which is visible in the menu.
This should not be displayed because it is useless. All that happens when using
it is a message box saying something like "The panel is already running".

New laptop (Lenovo X60T) effective a month ago, running openSUSE 10.2. I
noticed an oddity that sound sometimes wouldn't work, but that rebooting would
make it work most of the time. I ignored it as a transient error.
Today (July 19) I did an update, which included a kernel update. Now sound is
almost completely broken. I think it has worked once on a half dozen boots
since the upgrade.
I tried running aumix, which often fixes sound problems. On some occasions of
attempting this, it just did nothing. On other occasions, it fails out thusly:
crispin@groo:~> aumix
aumix: MIXER_READ
aumix also dumps this into syslog:

Summary: Wacom Tablet (Thinkpad X41) Fails to Re-Initialize After

This was not a problem in the 10.2 release version, it has only been a problem
since I installed updates, my guess would be the kernel patches. With the
release version, I could re-initialize my tablet after suspend2ram with:
# setserial /dev/ttyS0 port 0x0200 irq 5 autoconfig
When included in /etc/pm/hooks/00clear it worked automatically. Since I did an
online update, however, it no longer works after the system wakes up. It works
normally when I first boot the system, and suspend2disk works fine. After
suspend2ram, when I run the command, I get the following error:
Cannot autoconfigure port: Device or resource busy
Manual configuration also fails. A cat of /dev/ttyS0 causes the whole system
to hang, which is why I suspect the kernel patches. Any suggestions would be
very helpful. Thanks! ~Loki
