Using a Os 10.2 installation source I cannot install on either a oS10.2 dom0 or
a SLES10 dom0. The last line on the VM as it is trying to begin the install
says something about loading isolinux.

Summary: Ship with totem-gstreamer and totem-xine
Product: openSUSE 10.2
Version: Final
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Enhancement
Priority: P5 - None
Component: GNOME
AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome(a)forge.provo.novell.com
ReportedBy: martin(a)gamesplace.info
QAContact: qa(a)suse.de
Currently, OpenSuSE only ships with the gstreamer Totem.
It would be nice if there would be two packages, one totem-gstreamer (installed
by default) package and one totem-xine package.
This would make it easier for users to use xine as a backend for Totem.
A user could install totem-xine from the official repositories and would just
have to install a working libxine version from 3d party repositories.

Summary: MacBook Touchpad should be driven by synaptics driver

OS/Version: Other

After the standard install of 10.3-alpha1 there is no way to right click on a
MacBook.
The touchpad driven by the appletouch kernel module can be used with the
x11-input-synaptics driver. http://www.popies.net/atp/
This allows much better configuration of the touchpad.
http://simon.vanderlinden.eu.org/macbook-howto-emulate-the-trackpad-as-a-sy…
The Installer configured the touchpad with:
Section "InputDevice"
Driver "mouse"
Identifier "Mouse[1]"
Option "Buttons" "7"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Name" "Apple Keyboard"
Option "Protocol" "explorerps/2"
Option "Vendor" "Sysp"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
The name is strange ...
The touchpad is better configured with the lines mentioned in the blog:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse[1]"
Driver "synaptics"
Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
Option "LeftEdge" "100"

nThis:
We should finally stop supporting APM. The first step is to no longer build APM
into the kernel, but build it as a module.
This should be done now, so that we can get this tested early enough for CODE
11.

I just tried to compile package htdig-3.2.0b6-45
The compiler said
Display.cc:1229: warning: left shift count >= width of type
The source code is
time_t eternity = ~(1<<(sizeof(time_t)*8-1)); // will be the largest value
holdable by a time_t
I agree with the compiler.
Suggest new code
time_t eternity = ~(1UL << (sizeof(time_t)*8-1)); // will be the largest
value holdable by a time_t

log from hwinfo --sound --log log
this sound device is integrated on the main board (ASRock AM2NF3-VSTA) and is
listed in the manual as C-Media CM6501.
The manual does not state that it is a usb device, so it would be nice if YaST
sound module could at least list it with the correct driver.
1. model CM6501 not listed for this manufacturer
2. not detected as sound device by hwinfo
The driver "snd_usb_audio" works

Ghosrscript 8.15 reproduces bug #104368 (vertical Japanese Display).
So, I installed ghostscript-library-8.15rc1-29 at the moment.
Of course, I had installed ghostscript-library of SuSE 10.3, but
I had got no improvement.

Summary: xemacs and ecb: crash

Platform: i586
OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2
Status: NEW
Severity: Blocker
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Other
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening(a)forge.provo.novell.com
ReportedBy: Fabian.Scheler(a)gmx.de
QAContact: qa(a)suse.de
When activating ecb from xemacs via M-x ecb-activate xemacs crashes. 'xemacs
--version' yields the following output:
XEmacs 21.5 (beta27) "fiddleheads" (+CVS-20060704) [Lucid] (i386-suse-linux,
Mule) of Mon Nov 27 2006 on dale
The crash should not depend on user specific options in ~/.xemacs as it also
happens when the ~/.xemacs directory does not exist. The current locale is
de_DE.UTF-8 - the lisp backtrace mentions something about "Missing charsets in
String to FontSet conversion"
