The "superuser" konsole (as provided by the KDE menu System->Terminals) won't react to the window close button. However, after some time a requester appears stating that the program running in this window doesn't react any more, and if I want to close the window nevertheless? This is, the same requester which appears when trying to close windows of crashed programmes. German error message: "Das in Konsole laufende Programm antwortet nicht auf die Anforderung zum Beenden. Möchten Sie Konsole dennoch beenden?" There is sometimes an additional requester after some time (don't know why) claiming: "Fenster mit dem Titel "Befehlsfenster (Systemverwaltungsmodus) - Konsole" reagiert nicht. If it does not, try http://puzzle.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gimp-print/gutenprint-5.0.0.ta… or choose a different mirror" If I klick on the link mentioned in above notice before the popup window that would show up automatically shows up a 2nd download window will open. Some inspection showed that it seems that beagle creates copies of all files to index in /tmp. Maybe it just tried to index some database tablespaces. Slab should have a submeny called "all applications" or something similar that opens the regular gnome menu. Users shouldn't have to open a separate application just the open the application they want.
