Specfile for proxy-suite 1.8?

Hi! Is there a RPM specfile somewhere for SuSE 7.x (preferably x=2 :-))? The specfile that's part of the latest SuSE 7.2 update version (proxy-suite-1.7.tp7-23.src.rpm) does NOT work... I think I can fix it (if find time), but perhaps there already is a working specfile??? Regards, Martin

huhu. is there a possibility to limit the access for clients to defined hosts/ IPs? some ftp-servers (e.g. "ProFTPD", http://www.proftpd.org) allow apache-style directives like <Limit LOGIN> Order deny,allow Deny from .evil.net Allow from all </Limit> to deny access from *.evil.net but allow all others. if using the following topology: Internet <-------> Firewall with ftp-proxy <-------> ftp-server (abuse.evil.net) 194.12.34.5 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.2 ...the ftp-server "thinks" the client is the ftp-proxy ("192.168.0.1") and the access-limitations above don't work (e.g. I'm not able to filter all connections from the domain "abuse.evil.net"). are there any solutions? I miss something like DenyConnections *.evil.net, bill-gates.com, 207.46.230.220 AllowConnections *.suse.de in the "ftp-proxy.conf" file. -- Michael

Problems with various FTP Programs.

Hi, I am programming a SOCKS 5 Proxy using the RFC 1928 Standard, and get really close to the edge of insanity. I am unable to find only one FTP Client that is working properly with SOCKS. Cute FTP Pro 2.0 is'nt opening any connections except the control connection. Smart FTP is opening many connections, but the file was 40 Megs large, the downloaded one only 800KB. And I am using a bit array to send and receive the data. So i cant't undestand why there is so much data loss.. Maybe you can tell me what ftp client tu use. greetz daniel
