Hello!
I'm happy to share with you that xfce will have a new look soon in Tumbleweed :). Here below is a recap of the changes:
* GTK theme: Mint-Y-Darker-Teal (modern look that uses teal as highlight, matching openSUSE color schemes) * xfwm4 theme: Mint-Y-Dark-Teal * icon theme: elementary-xfce (inspired by Tango and Elementary) * Font: Noto Sans looks good and has a wide support for different languages, including Asian languages and emojis. Should be default * Font: Hack is a cool monospace font * Font: Hint Slight is usually considered a better default for hinting * Font: Added "rgb" value, recommended setting for LCD screens (if font looks like a "rainbow" you need to enable lcd filter in Yast > Font module)
I really like the new look, the only thing I dislike is the Hack font for monospace but that's just my preference By the way: was there a decision on the Fonts discussion to switch to Source * Pro on the Factory list in October?
Please note that these changes will only affect new installations of TW with xfce and only if xfce4-branding-openSUSE sub-packages are installed. Existing users should not be affected by this.
Should, but for some reason the xfwm4 theme on my machines was changed to the new default on my machines after the update from X11:xfce on Tuesday -- Marcel Kühlhorn Have a lot of fun!
