Actually....No. I tried that first (shoulda mentioned that ) and nada. Even though I selected "Boot from ATAPI CDROM" it went to the normal LILO and ignored the Suse boot cd. I should say this: It's a Sony VAIO PCG 731 notebook, 200Mhz 96MB Ram, 20 GB hard drive with windows 98 in its own partition and Suse 8, barely chugging along (it's a machine for training my friend).

Errors: hda8 - Bad access block=2 count=2 end request: I/O error dev 03:08 (hsa) sector 2 EXT_2-fs unable to read superblock hda8 - Bad access block=2 count=2 Minix-fs unable to read superblock hda8 - Bad access block=2 count=2 ISOFS_read_super: bread failed and so on, all listing the same causes, hda8 - Bad access block=2 count=2
