Hi all, Well, if you have updated some Gnome files recently, then you might have noticed that XMMS is again broken, but this time I can't get it to start at all. This is the error, when starting from a shell. Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) serial 263 error_code 8 request_code 2 minor_code 0 Not really sure what this is all about, it's quite an odd response. Maybe it's an XMMS error or one that the SUSE guys can repair, but certainly it seems that it won't be running until someone fixes it! It starts fine for me here. I'm running xmms 1.2.10-84. Have you tried removing and reinstalling? -- Cheers, Trey ---- Losing your drivers' license is just God's way of saying "BOOGA, BOOGA!" Have you updated from the Gnome repository recently or did you get your Gnome files from another location? Mine came from the SUSE mirrors.

I'm updating via apt and the sources.list from http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/home.html All packages are up-to-date with the exception of some I've intentionally excluded (fontconfig, kernel, ipsec) -- Cheers, Trey ---- Issawi's Laws of Progress: The Course of Progress: Most things get steadily worse. This may be the difference then, as I believe apt pulls from several other Gnome repositories. I'm running the same version of xmms as you, so I'm guessing there are some odd files I have installed you don't. thanks, Lee
