Need help w/ driver for Netgear FA510 PCMCIA card
Hello all, I am attempting an FTP install of 7.2 while waiting on my boxed set of 7.3. The machine in question is a Panasonic CF-71 ToughBook, a PII-300 w/ 64MB RAM, 6.4GB HD, a Netgear FA510 PCMCIA Fast Ethernet card, and a dead display (all the backlighting up and died one night). This is going to be used as a headless server on my home LAN (hopefully). I read and printed out for reference the SuSE page on FTP installs. I d/l'd the bootdisk, modules, and modules2 images, and dd'd them to floppies. Install seems to go along pretty well, detecting that I have a pcmcia chipset, and even gets the right one (IBM 82365). I don't have a CD handy so it prompts me to do a network install... oops, don't have a network device configured yet, so go load a network module. I tried the 'AutoLoad Module' selection, which loads the dmfe module for a DM9102 Fast Ethernet, which doesn't seem to work. The *very* limited info on NetGear's site seems to indicate that if it doesn't work w/ a tulip driver, it should work as a NE2000. I tried loading the tulip module, but I have no idea what the parameters I need for it is, so it fails as well. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. TIA, Monte ===== "Here, catch!
