[opensuse] Imaging mobile phone memories.
Hello all! Is there a way to mount a mobile phone, or any other PDA type device to image the memory map onto an image file? I need this for a recovery/forensic project i am looking into. Today i use several brand specific software running under windows to recover lost data from damaged or othervice unavailable phones. I would like to do this in Linux instead, and prefarably in a generic way so i dont have to use gazillion different softwares for the different brands out there. Any clues, pointers or trix i can look into? /Rikard

For symbian phones a good starting point would be the Symbian Developer Network. http://developer.symbian.com/main/index.jsp For Nokia the following may be useful... http://opensource.nokia.com/ - -- ============================================================================== I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone. My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone. I think you need the documentation from the manufacturers. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
