[opensuse] systemd-message in journal: "dragon" dumped core
dic 21 22:56:58 linux-hk9l.suse systemd-coredump[6171]: Process 5677 (dragon) of user 1001 dumped core. What? I do not know of dragons, so I would like to ask for curiosity: what kind of dragons I have on my system (or better what could give such a curious error message?) _________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________ Ihre E-Mail-Postfcher sicher & zentral an einem Ort. Dragon Player is a simple KDE 4 video player. Oh, right. I never use it. So I will now uninstall it

actually, weired. So many dependency that you have to blacklist it to get rid of it. Patterns here, patterns there. I am beginning to be allergic against patterns. _________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________ Ihre E-Mail-Postfcher sicher & zentral an einem Ort. You can uninstall a pattern with out uninstalling the programs / packages it requires / recommends. AFAICT in the past "rpm -e <pattern-name>" was often the better idea than zypper or yast b/c in the past they often want to unistall the programs in the pattern. YMMV. But all said, yes, the patterns around kde and gnome are a little bit to "inclusive" for my tastes. I miss a kde-minimal / gnome-minimal "just the working desktop", but that's more me, and thus I switch of "include recommended" and select the apps I want to use, without using patterns, at least for KDE and gnome. - Yamaban. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

You are using it. The fact that it crashed proves that you are using it. :-) - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. I tend to agree :D Maybe some startup-animation? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Maybe. Or preview file in some file browser, like dolphin. Even you hit [enter] on some video file. Or perhaps firefox used an external viewer. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. (from openSUSE 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar) Good question. I had there only kmail running (konqueror). My system is organized in separate user accounts with very precise actions. So maybe some mail that was able to trigger it via the preview? In all cases, it should't have been aktive. Anyway, case closed as I did uninstall it.

AND if you substitute the "konqueror" with "kontact" and have patience with me (too much of very good things for the holiday season) then it is even getting more understandable. sorrrrrry! _________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________ Ihre E-Mail-Postfächer sicher & zentral an einem Ort.
