When a new user is created, an .xinitrc file is (I believe) installed in the user's home directory. Where is the file that's copied to provide the local .xinitrc file? And as a user, is it better to modify the .xinitrc file in your home directory or to use some other file (.xinitrc.local, mebbe?) to implement your local changes? /etc/skel

It depends on the number of users you have and their competency. If you have only a few users it is easiest to allow them to do what they want but if you have a lot of new linux users then it is probably best to arrange for their .xinitrc files to include a central file and then an individual file. /Michael -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
