When a new user is created, an .xinitrc file is (I believe) installed in the user's home directory. Where is the file that's copied to provide the local .xinitrc file? And as a user, is it better to modify the .xinitrc file in your home directory or to use some other file (.xinitrc.local, mebbe?) to implement your local changes?
