Excuse me? What's the "Tumblweed installer"? I did not install from a DVD. I haven't installed from a DVD except when I have to deal with a new machine and new virgin drive and that hasn't been since the 13.1 days.

At some point it asks for the repositories to be used. Adjust them manually, there is a checkbox for it. In the list enable the existing repositories as needed,

I think I've brought about the same result simply by changing the repositories that matter to me. The problem is that when I tried doing a 'zypper -dup \ --no-allow-vendor-change \ --repo Tumbleweed I (used to) get a few hundred requests for a vendor change anyway! Buquuer That for a Lark! My problem now is that zypper won't work. It won't work if I use "up'. It won't work if I use "dup". It won't work if I use "info" I can run zypper --help :-) Anything about zypper that involves accessing the 'net doesn't work. Telling me to use the DVD is dysfunctional, I never used the DVD to start with. Is there some way to make zypper access a repository without using the /usr/lib64/libproxy.so.1 ? Perhaps address a repository without going through the proxy mechanism?

perhaps also adjust the priorities for certain repos in case desired packages are provided by more than one repository.

Pay attention to the bootloader settings in case a non-standard setup has to be used.
