is that zypper won't work.
It won't work if I use "up'.
It won't work if I use "dup".

Does rpm still work? That means you could at least install a fixed zypper version, and
then continue as usual
I've just tried zypper with a fixed repository, bypassing the proxy mechanism:
# zypper up -r
not found by its alias, number, or URI.
Apparently I don't understand the syntax.
It advises using 'zypper repos' but that just produces the same result as
