[opensuse] cpufreq conservative vs ondemand
Hi Is there any way to configure powermanagement to use the "conservative" governor and not "ondemand" when the cpu policy is set to "dinamic" As Yast sysconfig editor states for /etc/sysconfig/powersave/cpufreq: "These are by default (kernel module - governor/powersave policy): ondemand/dynamic, powersave/powersave, performance/performance" So,how can i override the default pair "ondemand/dinamic"? In KDE4's (from the kde4:factory repo) powerdevil you can set that per scheme. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It's your choice to stay with old software. I wrote KDE from kde4:factory anyway, i.e. KDE 4.1.x. People (not necessarily you) cannot complain about kde3-feature x not being in kde4 and at the same time wonder why kde3 lacks features kde4 offers. KDE4 already offers lots kde3 does not, but who cares... Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Sven Im not complaining at all,
I just consider KDE 4.x not appropiate for the moment and will not move till gets "polished" I think is important people file bugs, wishes and complains to the devs to ensure quality... I use several panels, taksbar on upper screen edge, main panel squezzed to the bare minimum and auto hide. I dont like the new start button, nor the new "kcontrol" and relay on having many others things heavily customized that makes me feel about Linux/kde's superiority, and not mention about KDED PIM and packets related. So moving to the new desktop is time consuming. So i expect a large user base like me, a bit disappointed till we figure out the new ways to make the old things... For now, my kde 3.5 will serve my needs for a long time (1 year more, sure). -- -- No lea este correo si no es necesario.
