[opensuse] auto session lock Suse 11.0
This probably has a simple answer, but I've gone through the System menu, yast menu, and Mailing list archives without any luck. After upgrading to opensuse 11.0, my session automatically locks after a short period of time. It's annoying to always have to unlock after getting a coffee, but other than that - I'd rather lock the session if and when I want to lock it - not when the OS decides. So... This is a feature of you desktop environment. Are you using KDE or Gnome? Regards, Matthias -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I don't have time to look for it, but in KDE4 on Beta 3 it is under the screen saver settings-- and it does work to disable it (why lock and ask for a password when the password is blank?) I would assume in KDE 3.5 on 11.0 it would be the same. I am assuming you use KDE 3.5. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks Andrew, I'd been through that Desktop configure gui dozens of times before and couldn't find anything I thought would disable the log in requirement, but ... Under Screen Saver, settings, require password to stop, - unchecking the box does the trick - thanks ! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
