I've tried with both an Oracle 8i disk and another data disk with no luck.

What sort of CD is it you're trying to mount? It's not an audio CD, is it? Because you can't mount those, just start a CD playing program and play it -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

have you tried without -t option so it can try to guess the filesystem. Also, are you sure that /dev/cdrom is linked to the right hdx device? Try also to mount /dev/hdx (or /dev/sdx). Cheers Sunny -- Get Firefox http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=affiliates&id=10745&t=85
