Re: [SuSE Linux] No SuSE KDE icons after re-install..help
Hi there: Tim is, of course, correct. SuSEconfig can be used to force this. Full intructions are given in the following SDB article: <A HREF="http://www.suse.de/sdb/en/html/js_susemenue.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.de/sdb/en/html/js_susemenue.html</A">http://www.suse.de/sdb/en/html/js_susemenue.html The inscructions listed there include the following: rm -f /var/lib/susewm/susewm.kwm cd /opt/kde/share/applnk rm -fr SuSE touch /var/adm/packages SuSEconfig But I recommend reading it in its entirety. Best of Luck, -josh * Tim van Venrooij (venrooij@casema.net) [990428 03:40]:
I know how you feel, I had the same problem. I found out that, for some reason susewm.kwm does not get a proper time stamp during the installation. So all you have to do is:
touch /var/lib/susewm/susewm.kwm
and the next time you install/deinstall some package with Yast, the KDE menu entries will be properly initialized. Probably /sbin/SuSEconfig can be forced to do this without (de)installing something, but I have not tried this.
Bye, Tim.

I have had to re-install SuSE 6 and I no longer have the SuSE icons including the YaST icons on the toolbar or from the K menu.
