Hi,
Does anybody use Alan Cox's patches? I've tried to find info on what they are meant to do, but I've not found any.
I think LenZ uses 2.2.6-ac7 or something. Appearantly, Alan just does a little more fine-tuning than Linus and his team do. As I understand it, many if not most of Alan's patches are integrated with then next official patch, so using an AC patch is pointless unless you absolutely *must* be on the bleeding edge of kernel development. I've never touched them, personally. -=|JP|=- -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/ and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html
