Re: [SLE] How to make orig. SuSE Boot Disk
Get the disk for your disk subsystem and the modules disk from here: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/6.2/disks/ and, using Linux or another *nix, use `dd if=./eide01 of=/dev/fd0' where eide01 is the disk image you recieved. Same for modules. Otherwise, you'll find them in the direcory /disks on the first CD-ROM ;). If you're running DOS or Windows right now, you need to use rawrite as follows: `rawrite eide01 a:' All of this information, BTW, is in the SuSE Handbook. -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | SuSE Linux 6.2 super-suser@eudoramail.com | Kernel 2.2.10 Kansas City, Missouri, USA | AMD K6-III 450 Moderator of LUG-KC@onelist.com http://www.onelist.com/subscribe/lug-kc On Thu, 30 Sep 1999 10:05:59 Stanley C. I must have blown away the boot disk that ships with SuSE 6.2. Can anyone please tell me where/how to make a replacement.
