[opensuse] No Tumbleweed mirrors?
I'm trying to download the latest Tumbleweed ISO, and it's saying that it'll take about 2 days. Checking the http://mirrors.opensuse.org/ site, there aren't any mirrors listed. Is something going on with the system out of curiosity? Chris -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Hmm, I still see no checks in the "Tumbleweed ISOs" column: http://susepaste.org/56754076 Also, when I try to download the ISO it says: Mirrors List of best mirrors for IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, located at xx.834000,-xx.653900 in United States (US), network xxx.xxx.0.0/17 (autonomous system 6325). Map showing the closest mirrors No mirror was found I am very sorry, but no mirror was found. Feel free to download directly: http://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/iso/openSUSE-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-S... Powered by MirrorBrain If I choose that link that it gives me, it runs at about 45kbps, and says that it'll be another day or five before it finishes downloading. Interesting... I tried to do the usual daily update of 42.2 and 42.3 earlier and I was getting between ~146Kb/s and <65Kb/s. I took this to mean that the server was having a slight hernia for some reason -- possibly because 42.3 was being transferred across to the 42.3 Repos prior to its release in the coming hours. That list is showing me zero North American mirrors for repositories, TW isos, TW debug and TW source. It's now been at least 5 hours since USA has had normal mirror performance for TW. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Bad here in FL too. zypper ref took seemingly forever. zypper -v in -d kernel-default took 60 seconds to download only 9% of the 56MiB total, where normally a complete kernel rpm doesn't take 60 seconds. traceroute to download.opensuse.org (195.135.221.134), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets ... 3 72-31-92-136.net.bhntampa.com (72.31.92.136) 14.471 ms 14.465 ms 14.455 ms 4 ten0-1-0-9-1.tamp20-car1.bhn.net (72.31.208.96) 17.302 ms 71-44-17-152.net.bhntampa.com (71.44.17.152) 17.296 ms 71-44-17-154.net.bhntampa.com (71.44.17.154) 18.384 ms 5 ten0-0-0-2.tamp24-ser1.bhn.net (72.31.211.174) 17.274 ms hun0-2-0-9.tamp20-cbr1.bhn.net (72.31.3.118) 18.363 ms ten0-0-0-2.tamp24-ser1.bhn.net (72.31.211.174) 17.252 ms 6 10.bu-ether15.tamsflde20w-bcr00.tbone.rr.com (66.109.6.96) 18.343 ms 16.634 ms 18.794 ms 7 ae-9.bar1.Tampa1.Level3.net (4.68.72.205) 13.614 ms 10.957 ms 13.822 ms 8 ae-1-3104.edge7.Frankfurt1.Level3.net (4.69.159.34) 124.065 ms 126.975 ms 126.014 ms 9 62.67.34.118 (62.67.34.118) 132.877 ms 147.419 ms 123.328 ms 10 ae6-2012.nbg30.core-backbone.com (80.255.15.197) 131.014 ms 131.942 ms 143.193 ms 11 core-backbone.microfocus.com (5.56.18.210) 126.024 ms 131.537 ms 132.508 ms ... download.widehat.com still has http://widehat.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/kernel-default-b... while zypper says current TW kernel is 4.11.8-2.2. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Is something going on with the system out of curiosity? Definitely something very wrong. Try fetching from http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/tumbleweed/iso/ or http://widehat.opensuse.org/factory/iso/ -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." MUCH better...eta 20 minutes versus the 8 hours the link from the main download site was suggesting. Definitely something going on though, even still this morning, since they're still not showing up properly on the mirror page. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I recently found out that it works very well with firefox and add-on "dta" by clicking on "metalink" on the page "details"¹. Greetings Willi ¹ e. g. By "dta" I assume you mean DownThemAll, right? There is no 'dta' in the list of Add-ons for Firefox.

correct, it is "DownThemAll". It works also with "aria2" on the command line. Greetings WB -- openSUSE Tumbleweed 201707029 GNU/Linux 4.11.8-2-default x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
