Does anyone know whether anything active is being done to fix the problems many of us are having with USB and hotplug in 9.1? The last fix (around 5th August?) seemed to do the trick for many, but myself and others still seem to
be unable to use USB memory sticks and cameras. There seems to be more than one set of symptoms, too (like some can mount outwith subfs and other (me!) find their system locks if they try to do that).
If there is anyone working on this, I'd be happy to try helping with testing.
And I could perhaps supply more diagnostic information if that would help.
It's a pain having to reboot into SuSE 9.0 just to access these things, and I
want to upgrade my mother's PC (from 7.3) just as soon as this gets sorted out.
The latest rounds of upgrades have addressed the problem for me, including hotplug: hotplug-0.44-32.22 HTH. -- Cheers, Trey Famous last words: (1) "Don't worry, I can handle it."
