So, why don't you use KDE? And why do you use (not-KDE)?
I use KDE3/TDE, because in KDE >v3
1-Multiple Konsole behaviors/features were negatively changed 2-Ugly lifeless, flat, stick-figure default theme 3-Kicker was replaced with a panel with behaviors I don't like, and no manual hiding button possible on the right end 4-other things I don't remember
That's interesting. I've heard good things about Trinity, but I've not yet felt the need for giving it a try. I do not use the default theme and settings, one has to do some work to adapt it to owns taste, but I find openSUSE's KDE implementation quite elegant. If "kicker" is the main panel, it could be hardly more configurable than that. I love konsole too, I only wish it could remember the open tabs
