I can't imagine why, if anyone did support an OS I was currently ->using , I'd have to see what was further out on the bleeding edge<g> -> ->Anyway, any users of Bell South in particular , or DSL generally care ->to share ? headaches , heartbreaks , willingness to suggest answers to ->tech support type questions .. ??? Especially if you might be willing ->to take this off list for private discussions, and electronic ->handholding and "there , there , type soothing noises for Gil ( that's ->the spouse <g>) Yes, I've heard about Bellsouth working with Linux just fine and their refusal to help Linux users. You will need Roaring Penguins PPPOE as the other person posted..but it does work. I have a friend in Huntsville that uses it quite successfully. He uses both his W2K machine and his Linux box with little issues. / start rant Question of the day: When are we as Linux users going to start suing these companies for discrimination. It's about time we stopped having to have seperate drinking fountains, riding in the back of the bus and having to enter through the service area...or at least what feels like this type of treatment. We don't spread virus's or any of the other frelling things that these supported Wintendo boxes do..yet we are treated like 2nd class citizens. Hell, on CNET's T.V. show they had numbers that told that Linux has more desktop users now they Mac's do. It's a bunch of crap.. / end rant -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org ----- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." -Benjamin Franklin
