The day when KDE 3 will no longer be viable is getting closer every day. Please tell me what problems you are having with KDE 4.3 so that we can get them fixed. KDE 3 is great because it is mature, configurable, and feature-laden without being bloated. I do not want to see that go to waste! It is the KDE 3 holdouts who have the attention to detail to distinguish the "little things" that make KDE 3 so great that are currently lacking in the KDE 4 branch.
#1 In 3.5 you could go to the KDE Control Center and find a nice structured menu of all settings in KDE. Everything was there with only a few tiny omissions.
In KDE4.3 I wander aimlessly trying to find how and where to set these things. Fonts, colors, sounds, peripherals, samba shares, local network browsing... I could go on and on, but you get the point. These things are now hidden under various "cashews" and assorted places. Its kind of a mess. It needs consolidation again.
Personal Settings -> Configure Desktop (basically the same as the old KDE control centre with a slightly different layout). All your KDE (not Plasma) settings are there... -- =================================================== Rodney Baker VK5ZTV rodney.baker@iinet.net.au =================================================== -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
