Out of curiosity, what is the openSuSE list for? From what I've noticed, it's primarily for folks with a common passion from all over the world to learn, ask questions, troubleshoot, and sometimes just be stupid and joke around with each other. To that end - I guess I'm curious why lately it seems like folks on the list are so tied to "the rules," to the extent that it seems like every time I turn around anymore, someone else is getting reprimanded (or, in the case of Bill Creswel a couple weeks ago, basically ridiculed) for some minor offense like typing in the wrong part of the email, replying without removing the sender, replying without removing the list address, or whatever. I mean, it would be one thing if someone was trash talking. But the things people get called out for seems so...trivial. My big question is - in reality, what's the big deal? Every list I'm on has "rules," but this is literally the only one where people are quick to point out each other's violations. Can't we all just chill and get along? :/ Not trying to be, well, whatever.
