Hello SuSE people,
Seeking some advice here. My lcd monitor is dying. In looking for a replacement I am wondering if I should go wide screen. Is there any problem with making it display properly? Manually configuring files? Running an nvidia fx5700 video card.
I'd hate to have to go back to an old square one now. The widescreen is nice :-) I've not had any problems with setting up the resolutions on several different brands of widescreens. In 100% of the cases they were simply autodetected by either sax2 or nvidia-config (depending on the system setup/drivers used etc.). On a clean install, they've also all "just worked" and were automagically set up to run at the default max resolution without me having to do anything out of the ordinary.
