Assuming that heroinewarrior was a dot com rather than an org, I assume their intent was to eventually make money on the product. I doubt that concerns about warranty and liability tell the whole story given the number of other tools out there such as rippers, video editing tools, and burners. It may have been as much as a business decision of risk versus rewards and maybe the market just simply wasn't there. Following the link to Sourceforge, I wonder what the current developers are going to do as those folks have made an investment in time in building an open source application. Finally, I wonder and maybe someone can answer, is Broadcast2000 in the 7.3 release of SuSE Professional? Still waiting for it to arrive here... Clint Jon Pennington wrote:

Not that I actually *liked* Broadcast, but it was the heir-appearant to replacing costly commercial software like SoundForge and MainActor, and I'm very sad to see it go.
