Hi,
I'm trying all day to record a single DVD on 10.1, and it just does not work. I booted to my 10.0 partition, and could burn the DVD with no problems. did you try cdrecord or growisofs alone?
on my 10.0 k3b can't write a given make of dvd+r. commandline works. I can see that it needs many retries to get the writting to start and k3b gave up too quickly.
(others kinds ov dvd write without problem - I didn't have time to test 10.1)

I just burned the 10.1 i386 DVD iso on my 10.1 (oss built from CDs) x86_64 system using k3b.
It's a Memorex multi-format DVD burner.
Even with 10.0, I kept making coasters with the built in cd/dvd burner, but I bought a memorex external usb2 cd/dvd burner, and it always works perfectly with k3b, making CDs and DVDs. So definitely a recommendation to check out the memorex external. Joe
