Sorry, yes, I use the mozilla.org versions as well. Running kde3, I just install to /opt. Just # cd /opt (if you have a current install from mozilla.org) # rm firefox_??? && mv firefox firefox_521 (whatever the new-old version is) # tar -xjf /path/to/new/firefox.tar.bz2 done :) Then just use kmenu to create a default .desktop file for firefox. I have had zero problems over the past year or doing it that way (since FF 38) -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
